(I feel guilty doing a burnout lol)

Posted 17/08/10 03:41 AM Share Posted 17/08/10 03:41 AM I use nitto nt05s which were rater better then the ku36s by tyrepower owner who does motorsport racing. the nitto's didnt help me few weeks back.I put on some MT ET Streets the other day.... im LOVING traction on the road....cantwait to try them on a prepped track!IMO semi's are a waste unless you get MT ET Streets. Not legal on our roads, but only a handfull of police will book you on them.

Hence ive dropped back down to 17's on the back.Nitto NT05 315$ each fitted. Good for 15000~km. 245/40/18.Tyrepower in Hawthorn, Vic, where the only ones in all .AU apparently that stocked them at the time. Give em a buzz and ask for whatever. I have the 19x8 dark argent rims at the moment but I'm looking at getting something a bit wider like a 9.5 or 10.5 just so I can get a bit more grip & keep it looking good. The 245 Bridgestone Adrenalines I'm running at the moment cost about $500 each and although they are pretty impressive for grip I don't reckon they are worth it.I'm choosing rims at the moment & need something to clear 6p Brembo brakes & also something that looks good. Anything less than 19s on an FG ute look a bit average the wheel arches are so big. 20s look nice but tyre choice is crap/way expensive. It's a bloody nightmare trying to choose. Most rims won't clear the Brembos.I'm looking at:HR Pegasus 19x8.5f 9.5r (dunno if they fit yet they only were sure about 20s)Hiro 19x8.5f 10.5rBBS CH 19x8.5f 9.5r& anything else I can find lol

Best budget tyre IMO. Turbo6, ive been down the path of looking for rims and didnt have much luck. There are some rims available through GRAM LIGHTS and other Japanese manufacturers that fit, but you need to mortgage your house for them.Have you looked at this range:Forged Wheels Sydney, Luxury Wheels Sydney - Marcello Wheels AustraliaBBS for the win

I've been looking on http://www.amgaustralia.com/brands/BBS.aspx at the CH Blacks. The guys at AMG have been quite helpful. They said if I pumped the rear guards I could actually get them in 10" wide for the rear.I'd like to see what they looked like on a Nitro (smurf colour) FG 6T ute but my photoshop skills are crap lol.The Federal EVO certainly looks like a good tyre I'd be keen to give it a try. Pity they don't do the RS-R in a 285x19 or something. They look like they'd grip like a cat on carpet.
