Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 20y 11m 30d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 13/08/10 11:58 PM Share Posted 13/08/10 11:58 PM The PCV is for emissions and allows the crankcase emissions to be recirculated back through the inlet manifold and it will burn up the nasties through combustion.The brake booster vacuum is taken from the inlet manifold, not the PCV.If you are popping the PCV valve it could be one of 3 things:1. the PCV seal is too lose2. The PCV is stuffed, as it is a one way valve and can get stuck or blocked3. There is excessive blow by causing too much pressure in the motor.The PCV should not be easy to remove as it is held in place by a tight rubber grommet.
