SOunds like a great build up.

Make sure you post heaps of pics of the path you are taking to keep us up to date.

Hopefully you come up with something along these lines. All the best

HAHA, took out the boat anchor and then ran 9 seconds a lap slower than a V8 Supercar, massive massive fail!

to be honest I have never driven on the tiens in a falcon so id be lying if I said they were better of worse. I do know that recently pedders completely redesigned their dampner side of the coilover to help with bottoming so weather that has anything to do with other peoples issues then yeah could explain a bit. honestly the pedders setup was the best mod I ever did to the ute. it changed it from a sloppy commuter to something that could be driven aggressivly and perdictably. if anything it was a killjoy because it was so easy to drive fast that it lost its scaryness if you know what I mean. th main reason I went with the pedders over the tiens was the base height adjustment with out changing the spring rate. suspension is a very simple thing. setup is where the difference is made. I highly doubt any difference in time was made up by the change from pedders to tien could not have been made up by a setup change and some tweaking.

I had Tein coilovers on my BA Sedan, with the higher performance spring rate and to tell you the truth they were disapointing. Also they are height adjustable but what use is that if when you change suspension height your wheel alignment goes out. Next time I'll probably go for Bilstein springs and shocks.

Your suspension pickup points must remain the same but that doesn't mean you can't get custom control arms made up. V8 supercars run -6 degrees camber on the front and you'll never get close to that without changing you control arms or suspension pick up points.

Brembo calipers of a Super Pursuit will make a massive difference over your standard brakes but they are still road car calipers. You would be much better off getting a brand new set of Brembo monoblocks designed for a Porsche Cup Car for around $600 new (Porsche 996, 997 are more expensive if I remember correctly). You will need to have custom brackets made which will set you back $600 for the pair but your brakes will be so much better for it.

Cheers Joel

It was running road tires rather then V8 Supercar spec slicks, plus fairly sure the engine only went into the car something like a day or two before time attack started.

Also, look at that thing kick out as he tries to accelerate out of the corner..

oh mutha fukker its on like donkey kong

http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index.php/fernandez-plans-revealed-for-wtac-2011/

yeah slow progress til now. settled in to my job so things will be progressing along rather rapidly.

organising the materials for the undertray next swing off. the new exhaust will be fabbed up and back looking at brake options.

basicly looking back at regs in regards to how muuch interior I can remove aswell as what aero I can run in regards to class rules.

recently I have been really just settling into the new job, playing with allignment and tyres, and getting the existing issues I had with the car settled.

money had been tight over christmas so basicly only had the time to fab up the new battery box and remount it. fix the cai and start talking tyres with my brother (toyo). hoping to have the hard cover finalised and ordered in the next fortnight aswell as have my brake choice done to be ordered the following fortnight. is interesting jose's choice of car to race...
