I currently have a BA MKII XR6 Turbo which I would like to mod a bit to produce about 300rwkw. It only has the 4 speed auto box in it and gear set needs replacing already. The car has only done 70,000k's with no mods at all. I am writing to see whether it is better to just rebuild the current gearbox with high stall converter and tune for about $4,500 making 250rwkw or spend the extra money and trade it in and get an FG XR6 Turbo. Cheers

Knowing these two things most people here can tell you what model would be best.Hope that helps.

Im happy spending the extra to get an FG but then ill have to start saving before a can do anything to it. BA is an awesome car but just worried about the transmission in it. Has anybody had both cars and prefers one over the other????? let me know!

I find the fg a nicer car to drive if your looking for big power I would go Fg, but if your going 2 stay 300 or a little more I would probably stay with the ba..u said u would needa save a bit before u could mod if u got an fg .. but u would notice straight away it has more power anyway!!
