He just listed what he's done to the car since... I think

I can only imagine what they get up to when no ones watching. But if you've (OP) had a good run that's great but as with buying any car put the effort in and have it fully checked out and you should be right. Repeatedly thrashed is an understatement! Yes, they get serviced every 10k km but they just about have to rebuild them from all the damage that is caused in that previous 10k kms. Warped disks and ruined pads from extreme heat and overuse, completely ruined suspension, wheels/tyres and undercarriage (sump, gearbox, chassis, front bumpers) from all the gutter hopping. Screw holes all through the dash from mounting the lights/computer units, cigarette burns and coffee stains throughout the entire cabin - the list goes on. They cop so much mechanical abuse it’s not funny. Like hire cars! They don't own it, so they don't care. I don't blame them, I would do the same thing to a govt. owned XR6T, but I would never buy one no matter how good it looks. You can clearly run into the same problems with a private buyer but most private buyers don’t have the cash to fix thousands of dollars’ worth of stuff they have destroyed every 5-10 thousand kms. Just my 2c.
