needfordspeed Member 166 Member For: 22y 4m 10d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 09/08/10 01:16 PM Share Posted 09/08/10 01:16 PM Well this is something I can give advice for on this forum.Don't go buying a Motec for a setup like this, seems like some people have more money than sense! Just get a turbo off a XR6T, you can buy a cast style manifold that AIT used to make back in the day for the $750-$900 mark, I'm running this setup on my EA and I have no clearance issues. For a intercooler, it depends if you want to hide it behind the stock bar or not....seeing as it's a drag car I'm guessing not so you can chop up your front bar ETC, mine is a street car so I couldn't do this so I went with a 600x270 intercooler to hide it behind the stock bar. For the auto, MV auto's do a valvebody mod to the BTR which they say will handle upto 400rwhp, should be enough for an 11 in a EA (you say it weighs as much as a BA, but once it's stripped it'll be MUCH lighter). C4's etc start getting expensive I've just spend thousands on doing my conversion, but for 11's I'd stick with the BTR.I could keep writing about this....seeing as I've built my own, but just PM me with any questions and I can help you out!
