ild go the V8 if you dont care to much about performance.

My mumsy has a 300c SRT8 with a decent exhaust fitted and the noise it makes is awesome. makes me want a V8 everytime I drive it, which I do whenever I can.

You're contemplating buying a car based on the sound it makes???

With a 4" exhaust (and 350rwkw) your turbo will sound way better than a V8 and smash one performance wise!

I had a couple of Expensive Daewoo V8's before I bought my car and there is no way in hell I would go back - especially just for the sound!!! All my commo's were modded and I still reckon my turbo sounded better than all of them.

I know your pain man... XR8, XR6 Turbo, XR8 and now back in an XR6 Turbo... LOL

My next car will be a supercharged V8... The best of both worlds, boost and sound!!!

The torque of a v8 is awesome down low... Much better than a 6... But when a T comes on boost... Hold on for your f*cking life LOL

All I can say is... Test drive one and see if it puts a smile on your dial...

Now days you only really buy a V8 for the sound or cause you don't really know much about cars and still think there the sh*t. If you want a nice sounding cruiser with minimal power go the 8 but if you want something that has show and go stay with the six.

I personally think a decently modded barra at full boost sounds so much better then a boring old 8 anyway but that's just my opinion.

the 8's definately sound better. I pulled up next to a cammed ve and the sound of it idling gave me a hard on. my t will never pull admiring oohs and ahhs, but then again jaws drop when I leave them behind, so, meh.

I had the same dilemma .. ended up going the turbo

partly coz fuel mostly coz my mate had a turbo and the pull in that thing..

I drive my dads 8 anyway so I guess I got best of both.. but if u love that v8 sound nothing will be as good !

I had a cam'ed Boss 260 with a twin 3", sounded f*cking tops, but it drank like a sailor and SERIOUSLY struggled for traction even though it only made just under 300rwkws... standing start, no brake, it would spin 'em through 1st, 2nd and a bit of 3rd (ZF)

I'd be looking at a Coyote if I was you! :surrenderwave:

If you can get an xr8 with the 6sp auto than go that. If my xr8 was a sedan I would have kept it and sold the turbo but it was a ute so wasn't practicle for me in the end.

Here was my ordinary sounding xr8-

XR6T sounding better! your all on fcking drugs...
