Whatever happened to common courtesy??

I parked my fg ute this morning at work, out the front of a house we are renovating, the area where I am working is close to a primary school. the apprentice comes into me at 8:30 with remnants of my mirror to my car. some parent has hit the side of my ute in the street trying to squeeze past another vehicle. there is gold paint on what’s left of the mirror and on the door. but here is the thing, no letter on my ute NOTHING!!!! they would have damaged their car and would have heard the scraping. the way they drive round the back streets of a morning trying to get their kids to school is atrocious!

So have rang fraud and its 300 dollars for a mirror, not painted. And then I have spent the last few hours cutting the scratches out of the door. Some are permanent and removed the paint to primer.

I just can’t believe they didn’t put a letter on my ute? And this is a very common thing these days! That is the world coming to? Why bother having a neat new car when people have no respect.

SUCKS!

just put a row of z nails along the side of your car/ute-super ninja style! ^_^ Wont stop the damage to your vehicle but will definatly increase the damage to theirs!

To 95% of people a car is just a consumable, a mere means of travel from A-B. Because they dont give a sh*t about there car means others do not care about theres either so a little scrubs (or loss of a mirror) is not something to worry about. Same with idiots who cant open their doors without doing it all the way into the car parked next to them.

Mate, wait along the road in the morning for a gold car doing the school run. Make a note and go for a look round at the school and see if its got your paint on, take some photos and confront them. Tell them your apprentice saw them do it, and he got the plates and followed up the next morning as you were unable to the previous.

I had mine parked out the front of a dealer yesterday doing some work and watch a kid with his sticky hands all over the drivers mirror. I got a sh*tty look from the parents when I told the kid off. and then stool next to my ute until they left. There car was a near new liberty but was f*cked and then the kid was allowed to bounce up and down on the bonnet on his knees. Parents did nothing.

wife was at north lakes in my previous car and this big sheila with tats pulls up next to her and out jumps the feral kid, bang, smashes the ba with her door. wife confronts mother, who stood over her and said, cause any trouble and your dead. mrs shat herself cause the bushpig was huge, tusks and all apparently, and let them go. f*ckers will try and get out of it even if your there. cost me $300 for a door respray.

This is the EXACT reason why my next T will be a weekend cruiser, there's no point havin a nice car as your daily. It is so relaxing driving around in a POS because you don't really care, and if something does get broke it's usually pretty cheap to fix.

Mate, it's very rare that someone will actually leave a note if they damage your car. As another member said, most couldn't give a toss about their own cars let alone someone elses. 2 weeks after I bought my BF which I had been waiting patiently to find for 6 months, I come back to my car after leaving it in a car park for half an hour to find a nasty deep scratch on my door. I was gutted.
