Was going to get rockford fosgate 360.2, but this looks better, the Australian JBL distributors need to get more customer focused and start delivering the goods. Guest EGOXRT Guests Posted 20/08/10 09:20 AM Share Posted 20/08/10 09:20 AM The JBL MS8 is great, it gives you a quick, easy no fuss tuning option BUT. If you have a poor install it will not make your system sound good, no matter what. I have this installed now and it is still very tricky to get right, it does a good job at time alignment and flattening the response of the factory deck but it is very dependant on getting crossover frequencies right. It does have the ability for fine tuning with a 31 band EQ and you can turn off the compensation it provides. Do not rely on it to cure any install issues or poorly designed sub boxes etc. All in all, it is a better option than the 360.2 or Bit One, as they need a good ear or, an RTA to get a base tune where as the MS8 will do that for you. One thing about all these processors is, they tend to colour the sound in some way or another so, if you are after pure audio try going a different path.
