Reading up on all the problems people are having with this feed line, I decided to look at mine. Since then, I have been puzzled to think any oil could come through considering how much gunk was in it..

EARLS OIL LINE FILTER KIT I have purchased this kit of ebay.

When changing it over, im going to do a oil service aswell.

Do you think it would be best if I were to suck through some oil through the braided lines first, from the bottle just to be safe? Then of course install it and do the oil change?

There easy as to fit mate, I did mine a few weeks back. Do yourself a favour and go down to repco and get a deep 24mm socket, and then its a piece of piss. The circlip can be a bit of a bugger to get out but I ended up just breaking it out.

Its easier if you do it all with the oil filter off and make sure if your putting a fitting for and oil pressure gauge you use some teflon sealant on the sensor, I didn't use any and it leaked, was a bastard getting it out, teflon on it and back in on the car. Had to take the filter off carefully without squashing it..

the standard screen? I thought it was basically remove and replace? Isnt the standard screen part of the original piece? You can just take it out when you replace it with the braided oil bolt??

I am definitely missing something here loll

You have to remove the OEM filter fitting from the block, the little screen filter is inside the fitting. You then need to remove the OEM screen filter that is inside this fitting and reuse the fitting without the screen filter in it.

Look at the thread in the turbo section about turbo filter maintenance http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=32461&view=findpost&p=1019602

I posted a bunch of photos of the OEM filter fitting and you can see the little screen filter that everyone is referring to.

1) this is how its supposed to look? or do I remove the thing inside it aswell?

2) this is the new peice which I wont have... I will be reusing the old one.. and removing out the (1) peice in the image?
