Whilst those of us fortunate to be T pilots already are truly sympathetic to the cause of MattB, can we truly stand the wait?Is it really another whole year? Will MattB beome Might-B?What if we don't have the collective stamina? What conundrum for MattB if the entire pallat of colours is changed? Are there more questions than answers? fellow forumphiles. Whatever shall we do?Stay tuned for the next enthralling installment (Probably by falchoon) in the continuing story of: Matt goes the distance. :( Hehehe.I assure you, no need for hard liquor here. Although I did have a quiet beer yesterday to celebrate my 25th, and serve as a timely reminder of one year until the obligatory XR purchase. Now under a year to go! Wow!Ian...have a mate who has a XR8 ute who doesn't mind me going for a spin. And anytime that I have a crummy week at work, I just walk over to Gregory's and remind myself.Mack...as the song says..."He's going the distance....he's going for speed!"And I severely doubt they'll take white out of the colour palette  No signs of greyness yet... I could never be a worthy successor to THE LORD OF BRIGHT. There be only one ever made in middle earth and he be 'round us all, in many guises for eon's to come. (Or .com)Although,.... Kenny in the Barrel...........Hmmm...........With the thong? :banghead: Seriously though. Saw a white GT with blue strips a few days ago. Reckoned it looked pretty good OK allright. Remided me of the XE S pack White wagon I had many years ago. Manual and optioned with the 4 wheel discs and LSD package and strips delete. With a set of True Blue Extractors and SS system, Koni gas shocks and uprated roll bars, it was a real Q ship gun runner. Had a Blue and Red thin combi-stripe from front to rear and the bloody heaviest clutch (That continually broke cables).Yeah, not too much wrong with a nice white...................particularly If yer a virgin.......... Oops, stepped over that line again. OK OK, I'll take the ten lashes. *Lookes around for Miss Kitty*

When you place the order, the waiting really begins Before I ordered my T I actually waited about 8 or so months before I actually placed the order. Those 8 months were easy, but once I had a peice of paper with the options etc and my deposit amount, the wait started getting a little too baaaad. But thankfully, unlike Ken, I have not suffered any long term mental illness from the wait.
Guest Trevor Guests Posted 22/11/03 12:28 AM Share Posted 22/11/03 12:28 AM I had no waiting, after considering the purchase for a long duration of 10 days, I went to place an order for a blueprint to be told that I would have to wait 5 months for delivery. It was then that my keen eye spotted the Silhouette with premium sound and leather on the showroom floor. When the salesman was questioned as to the fate of this car I was duly informed that it had lobbed there 2 days earlier and hadn't been sold or pre ordered. The options - Wait 5 months or drive away in 2 days if I chose to change my colour choice.See the signature block for the answer! MattB Member 169 Member For: 22y 1m 4d Location: Canberra Posted 22/11/03 09:50 PM Author Share Posted 22/11/03 09:50 PM MattB, may I ask why a years wait, why not now? Marcos,Couple of reasons.I was originally going to buy a new car on my 25th birthday, partly due to insurance reasons as well as a reward for finishing uni etc. But after some long thought, I decided I should spend some money improving the house first, then do the car. Money on house is an asset, money on car is an expense! So I decided that one more year would be OK. It gives me plenty of time to save up a sufficient deposit (wouldn't want to finance the whole thing), and for my patience, I'll get rewarded a Series 2! Bonus! I agree with KrasH though. The wait has been OK really. I was initially waiting to buy a 200SX until last year they got discontinued. Then the BA XR6-T came out. It hasn't been too painful. As for the wait after the order, eeek!Stay tuned!
