ratter Member 6,793 Member For: 18y 8m 17d Gender: Male Location: @ my laptop Posted 26/07/10 11:09 AM Share Posted 26/07/10 11:09 AM Have no idea on how good that device is, but I do not think you would be hitting 30 psi, and doubt whether your car has been tuned to 30 psi.Ford data is normally imperial(I know psi is imperial) and the manifold pressure is normally measured in in"hg.If your car is getting higher boost than it was tuned for, the spark tables may be too high for the boost and giving you your pinging issue, I.e if spark was set for 14 psi and then you were actually getting 16 psi, you would get ping because as boost increases less spark is tolerated for the same compression and octane level on the same given engine. My mates pulls up the same code, even running zero duty cycle as the wastegate just can't flow enough.
