Make sure you have sanded the copper washers with some fine wet-n-dry on a FLAT SURFACE (Glass is the best for this). I also found doing this to the 2 aluminum washers on the filter help it to seal as mine leaked on both ends of the filter, even though I thought I tightened it up properly. So I've gone for the 1/2 inch clamp. I've put some high temp electrical tape on the pipe to make it up to 1/2 inch diameter. They're not cheap either - $47 for two in blue. Mine was perfect for a good 20000kms. I used sanded copper washers on the block and pressure switch, But never had to do anything with the filter itself but now that's leaking. Will thread tape do here??
