Posted 21/10/03 01:35 PM Share Posted 21/10/03 01:35 PM You got it KrasH, grey haird balding...unfortunately, this phantom xr6t was a brand spanking new baby! All I know is, we now have an xr6t, and it wasn't bought at Braddon, and I am a merchandisaholic, and NONE of it will be bought at Braddon, and the car won't go to Braddon EVER if we can help it.... Mitchell on the othe hand is a complete opposite.Mitchell were very polite and helpful and would like to think we will be going back there for any servicing or "little" probs (not that we are going to have any *crosses fingers and knocks on wood*):D

I went through Braddon and no-one called me love.... :D The dealership was great even with the hiccup we had 15mins after leaving.Wife had a bad experience with John McGrath - they told her she didn't need the power of a turbo... big mistake.Trouble with Canberra is that there is very limited choices when it comes to vehicles ie Ford 2 dealers, Toyota 1 dealer etc etcSeems like you went ok with Sydney - had mine been a cash deal I would have shopped around a lot more. In the end we went with the lease companies preferred dealer becuase they had Bruce in stock, they had a great price and they did everythign right for a customer 300km away. They could have shafted us big time but the whole process with Malcom Smith and Dale Ford was painless and pleasant. Likewise dealings with gergories in Mitchell, the people there bent over backwards to help out Dale Ford and us when they really didn't have to. So they'll get my service business, my parts and accessories business (which reminds me I have to go out there and get aPollen filter) and a solid referral. Posted 22/10/03 11:22 AM Share Posted 22/10/03 11:22 AM Know what you mean about limited dealerships hammer007, ah the joys of living in the nations capital Would be interested to hear your purchasing experiences though. For example, did you find most salespeople spoke to your wife instead of you? We found that 1. They would send out a young female salesperson where possible2. She would immediately try to become my best friend3. She would try to sell the car to me despite my insistence that it was his car!As for not needing a turbo, I would have had some harsh words indeed so I hope she gave them what for!!!!Why is finding a decent sales person such a hard thing to do?Anyway, that aside, hope to see you and your wife at the Meet and Greet coming up in November.Cheers! Why is finding a honest real estate agent just as hard? If not harder?

Redhawk ....Time to lay this fairytale aside...... Donating Members 2,657 Member For: 21y 11m 11d Gender: Male Location: In the Ferry on the River Styx, not getting out just yet! Posted 23/10/03 12:56 AM Share Posted 23/10/03 12:56 AM Well Trendies,I am convinced that Lane Ford in Mandurah, WA are the BEST!! Here's why (may be repeating myself from other posts that I'm sure you avid follower of my posts will undoubtely notice) 1. Got 2 test drives of their Turbo demo.2. Got immediate full fleet discount for the Silverhawk, did'nt even have to ask for it, or do any unnatural acts even (damn!, OK, one minus there) :D 4. Gave me a loan of an XR8 to compare the to the 'hawk. (no Bullsh!t !)3. Warranty issues fixed up no problems what so ever.4. Got a 4.5 hr test drive of the GT-P.......alone! 5. Got offered fantastic trade-in deal for the 'hawk on the GT, exactly what I paid for her (minus Govt; charges of course) if I did'nt sell her privately (thanks Tony, hows the 'hawk behaving, real chick magnet that HgAg eh?) 6. They changed the plates over before I sold the 'hawk......free!! 7. Rang around Ford dealers in Perth and could not beat the price on the GT they gave me, and when I told them that they knocked $350 off the contract!Honestly anyone South of the River looking for a great deal on the XR's or GT's PM me for further info (I'll even get the spotters fee taken off your quote, I don't want it). And even though one of the remotes had broken (not their fault either) the guy still replaced it free of charge. Genrally you'll find that car dealers are very helpful.
