Hi guys (and girls)

Went for a big long drive today, up to Marysville and back down through Healsville, Yarra Glen and the like. Georgous roads.

Really didn't thrash it as the roads were a tad greasy.

Out of Marysville, I got stuck behind some idiots who didn't know what the right foot was foor and I booted to go past them. Wasn't completely flat but I did round them up rather quickly.

Anyway, the ZF seemed to be stuck in 4 th gear although I am not sure which. I was in Perf mode but the shift light on the console is now out and the gear indicator on the dash was flashing.

I tried to manually select gear but nothing. It would go into neutral and then into drive but it wasn't until I pulled up and shiofted to park (still flashing) and turned the car off and restarted that it came good.

On the way home I sort of nursed it. Can't smell anything and it feels fine.

Anyone have any ideas???

Sounds like the trans overheated to me that's what the flashing light is

yeah, the auto's gone into limp-home... mine used to do it in my XR8 if you over rev'ed it (higher then stock limiter).

sounds like the auto's detected too much torque...

Gee Gee, (excuse the pun)is yours ok? Im going to hook up my ODB shortly and see is a fault has been listed.

Amazing.

I think it will be an over reving or torque thing perhaps. Should have been overheating. Maybe an hour before but not when it happened.

Mine has done it twice now I think. Over revving will throw it into limp mode. Turn it off and on again like you have done and you are good to go, no damage.

Well I called Fraud and they recon there could have been a fault with the "module" (like there must be only one) and it should be fine so I think it was either over revved, or it detecvted tooo much torque. I'm running 840nm and I think they are rated to 600. It was a bit of a boot to over take but its never done it before which was a worry. I am just about to go put the ODB on it so I will let you know.
