I would have thought paying more for tyres would have given me approx. 30,000kms & lasted 18-24 months but not the case. It seems the "great tyres or more expensive tyres at $230+" have excellent grip & noise levels, but just simply don't go the distance on mileage! On the other hand, the cheaper $160 tyres may last longer than 20,000kms but have poor grip & noise levels - is this an accurate assessment? I don't mind paying $230 per tyre again - I just would prefer if the tyres lasted more than 30,000kms? I use the car for everyday driving, but do a bit of mileage with my work, so 20,000kms in a year is realistic. What do people think of Maxxis MAV1? Toyo Teo Plus? Pirelli Nero? Any suggestions? So it's not really a case of spending more for a longer-lasting product.Although having said that $230 a corner is not what you'd consider an expensive tyre in my humble opinion. What do you call 'everyday driving'? Around the suburbs or predominately highway? If the former then 20k is not too bad on anything I reckon....and

They are silca compound, pretty quiet and great tread pattern. Any Tyrepower should do them. Mine were $170 a corner.

I normally go through tyres in 20,000k's and the set of these I have on now I'll get 30+ no worries.
