I have been offered a set of FG Conrods on thecheap and I am now considering throwing these into my spare BAII engine. I would dearly love a forged engine, but other commitments have priority. Money is tight.... So I am thinking of freshening the crank and bearings, Koneski Pump gears and retaining the standard pistons.. I am not chasing Monstrous power. I want a reliable 370 rwkw.. What are your thoughts?

Might be worth throwing a set of forged rods in if your budget allows, otherwise there are alot of people running those numbers safely with BF2-FG rods... But what you will also find is it is actually cheaper to purchase FG parts are they are in current production, hope this helps.

Even went as far as calling ARGO, who were rumoured to hav been the supplier of the rods. The conrods DONT run the same part number (not for the 09 which my was), apparently it is due to the newer date and newer batch, and a different bush being used, but this is the only difference, same size and weight as BF2. The pistons on the other hand are as I have been told by multiple FPV dealers and suppliers, a forged unit.
