Abbott may not be perfect but who is? You don't have to like the PM as a person, but you do, on balance, have to trust them and their ministers capabilities.

Can anyone honestly say that he and the shadow ministers would be just as or more incompetent than the current PM and her mob? Labor couldn't be any more incompetent. People have such short memories. Most of the people on her side are a complete shadow of the former govt.

Let's look at her track record with the BER, asylum, MRRT and the list goes on and on. Very little PROVEN competence there. More like PROVEN incompetence. She now claims that she is a fiscal conservative after finding conversion on the road to Damascus.....give me a break. That mob always say that they will return the budget to surplus, but never do. Not without fudging it. And they know it. She runs one of the biggest operations in the country and has yet to prove that she could run anything more than a lolly shop. She couldn't manage her own portfolio. How can she run the biggest portfolio in the country?

This moving forward crap is as hollow as a log. People can see that she is blatantly lying without even a TWINGE of conscience from her about it. NOW THAT IS A CONCERN and makes me furious that she would take her responsibilities so flippantly. Somebody who wants the trust or leadership ok from us and then completely thinks nothing of it. People need to think about respect being a two way street.

NSW Labor is a good indication of where this is heading if that rabble are re-elected. The people they purport to represent are the ones they will always "do over". They always back us into such a financial hole that THEY will be the ones cutting back the services as more and more funds go to service the debt. They can't spend in this election because in 1 term, they don't have the funds to do so. Fiscal conservative...ha!

The platitudes, obfuscation and warm motherhood statements, for me, in no way cut it. Neither do pinching someone else's policy and claiming it as your own. They even f*cked that up! Hell, they can't even apologise let alone fix for all their f*ckups to date. She says they have "learnt lessons". I learnt mine long ago not to trust someone like her, no matter what side they are from.

People can vote how they want, but some serious thought needs to be given about track records and not b*llsh*t platitudes.

I choose Liberal. At least Tony is honest enough to say he sometimes twists the story. He may not be the most desirable leader, but at least he will take the job seriously. The best leader is the one who learns as he goes. The arrogant and ignorant ones are always trouble.

You get the feeling that no matter what Labour promise in the media, they go behind closed doors, count their salaries and laugh like Dr Evil while the country falls apart. I'm tired of their complete ignorance of true australians. Just as Rudd's 'working families' slogan was a lie, so is Julia's "moving forward"... They're not moving anywhere.

Agree entirely particularly with the first paragraph.

She will take voter cynicism to a new unhearalded low. The line of Phoney Tony is crap. People already knew the twists of politicians. Why the big surprise? If any one is a phoney in this election, it's her.

Labor are using comments to describe the opposition, when it is their reflection in their own mirror that they are actually describing.

All the pollsters and politicians say state issues have nothing to do how people vote.

That is certainly not how I view Labor's performance in any govt.

As far as I am concerned, Anna and her mob are going to get the same treatment from me.

Anyone decent or worth their salt has left the Labor party years ago or has been forced out.

I do believe with the current and coming economical climate we need a labor party who stands for what the original labor party stood for. Do any of them read their own creed anymore.

Recent activities should send off alarm bells on how united the party is. They don't have a game plan, they have a spiel.

I will be voting for Abbot. But I cant get the feeling out of my guts that he reminds me so much of little George Bush, he really does. Oh well who ever gets in we are in for tough times, at least with Abbot we will get a laugh. Fool me once and I'm an idiot fool me twice and ah ah ......

So if you say you are going to vote Labour, and state why, you'll be pulled apart and called a dickhead and blamed why everyone is loosing their job and the recession is your fault etc etc.

no mick but have a good look at what this mob have done.

People have started to wake up yet again we have a massive debt that has to be paid back some how.

The recession has not hit yet but when it does it is going to bit hard.

The current goverment has wasted billions of dollars saying they have stop the recession hitting us.

What are they going to do now as we are about to be hit hard.

They say they are going to have the budget back in black in 3 yyears can you or anyone else tell me how they can pay back over a 100 billion dollars in that time and still not raise taxes or cut services that affect us all.
