Rosie Member 361 Member For: 17y 10m 24d Posted 16/07/10 05:30 AM Share Posted 16/07/10 05:30 AM And I bent Con Rods on 270rwkw 7 Years ago with a lot less Boost!Pete, with STD 10S, has consistently run 10.7's at the Drags, and no one really knows why it hasn't self destructed! But it's a known fact they are not built to cop big boost! My option was the safe one!- I had the Motor built. Yeah people are getting away with it but as someone said it's only a matter of time. 7 years ago they were new BA's blowing up, now there 7 years old. Think about it.And yeah there allot of cars running 400+ now days but if you look closely the majority are Typhoon engines. I know the risks. my tuner has said 'I wouldnt but its up to you' ever since going over 14psi. my goal is 400rwkw with a new donk, so I'll have to get one sooner or later anyway. when its capable of low 11's, I'll stop planning more power... Push you motor as much as you want just be prepared to pay up for a new one at any time...maybe a few years maybe a few hours...its a lottery. ebxmple Member 1,322 Member For: 17y 1m 1d Posted 16/07/10 02:36 PM Share Posted 16/07/10 02:36 PM I thought 16psi was a tad high for a BA bottomend. Mine hits 16 and levels off at about 15. that's what I asked for and that's what I got. I guess they are capable of handling a bit more in the right hands. The blokes that are running 19psi,are you running standard plenum? I suppose it all comes down to the tuner and alot has probably changed in tuning tactics between then and now.
