twin 2.5 equals 5inch anyway so can't see why it would. But your suppose to have a little back pressure aren't you?

Twin 2.5 actually equals 3.53. Also with turbo motors the less pressure after the turbo the better.

I had very similar mods on my old car. When you want some more power do the rest of the exhaust.

I had almost the same exhaust setup (4" dump and 5" cat into stock exhaust) and the car picked up almost 30rwkw after installing a cat-back twin 2.5" Xforce exhaust. Godda let it breathe!

yer riteo cheers rspec. I like how its quiet now though with the standard that's why I didnt get the full job. I think I will be happy enough with the numbers its making now for a while. and all further funding will go towards rubber. haha

Yeah that's my old beast. Everyone loves those vids lol. It's almost back up and running now with a new owner and some fresh parts. He's hopefully getting it tuned next week. Can't wait to see it again.

Heady got it up to 302rwkw and the injectors were having a whinge so going to make up some spacers and put the dekas in and go for 310rwkw. It would suit my new plates well until I get an exhaust :stirthepot:

how much power where you making before the exhuast upgrade to gain you another 30rwkw? must have been pretty high power for that much of a restriction???

It was running just over 330rwkw then it went straight to just over 360rwkw with a wastegate port and flap with the exhaust

surface area and volume dude, couple of threads on this. 5 inch - 3.14 x 2.5 squared = 19.625. 2.5 inch - 3.14 x 1.25 squared = 4.9, then times that by 2 - 9.8. nowhere near the flow of a 5 inch. even if it was 5 inch is better because its not splitting up airflow.
