The rest of the taurus line-up is offered in FWD or AWD.And this is all make believe anyway. I dont think so. And what are they going to do with all the coyotes coming our way and all the wasted money fixing the drive line to accommodate them. How about Prodrive and the money they paid Ford Australia to set up shop? Prodrive wont be able to survive on just a FPV twin turbo Taurus. Yes it will happen one day but not in the near future and when it happens you can bet that they are going to use a universal floor plan that will accommodate not only front but rear and AWD and an engine bay that will fit 4, 6 and 8s and also left or right hand drive positioning. As far as Im concerned a magazine will make up any bullsh*t to sell copies on the day and if all there write ups were correct then Im sure by now we would also have cars that fly. The day Ford Australia goes front drive in the near future is the day that alot of current Ford owners will have a rear drive Expensive Daewoo in their garages instead and the rest a superior built Jap front wheel drive car at half the price and the boys at Ford know this. I want the best of both worlds: the Mustang's superior handling and Falcon's IRS.I just want an affordable, fast and comfortable 4 door sedan. It would be cool if the next gen Falcon was a mid-sizer - less weight, better fuel economy, sharper handling. Ford's version of the BMW 3/5 series.
