Not a rumour Garry - fact, and well covered in the media for over 12 months.

There is no V6 coming - it really pisses me off when people who clearly have NFI keep declaring this as fact. The I6 is here to stay for some time yet.

So are all the Expensive Daewoo drivers going to buy Fords when GM goes under? Ford's going very strong globally, how's GM doing?

That is great news.

The Ford I6 T and the chassis that wraps around it are the Aussie versions of the 911.

Though modest in origin, decades of development has seen the development of a design of sublime refinement, flexibility, power, and everyday reliability.

There are not too many things out there that can do all that.

Any plans for DI for the I6 Turbo, and agility control, and bi-modal exhaust and 8-speed boxes?

Regards,

aa

Just to clear up - the question was not about the 'Falcon' name, or what donk they use... rather the current 'large car' platform.

While Ford internationally is doing ok, and well lets not discuss GM - a few have said the 'large car - Falcon out of Melbourne' may not be as we currently enjoy for much longer.

Just a few things I have heard from a few very very very close to those in heavenly like positions within Ford Oz.

Having said that - yet, they didnt disclose to much other then just what I have said...

So yeah - long in short it was all just a 'in theory' question gents...

Keep in mind - the Mondao is also a wider car (or is it longer)? I actually cant remember..

Talking to the guy at ford the other day...

The opening line discounts the remainder of your post...those poor bastards usually have less of an idea than the customer does as to what's actually going on :idunno:

:idunno:

- Wider

- Slower

- Front Wheel Drive

- Uncomfortable Seats (or at least seemed that way to me)

- Lower Towing Capacity

Oh, and

- Ugly back end.
