Under load a few times it went to normal operating temp and the temp came down a little quicker than normal whilst back to cruising again. I am aware it wont work 100% without ajusting the thermo fans to come on earlier also. But my question is: Will it cause any damage to my engine from changing from the stock 92 deg one to the 82 deg one? And Does it increase any power anywhere or just consistency? Thanks Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/69296-dayco-82-deg-thermostat-question/ Share on other sites

As your car will be at correct operating temperature much quicker. The cooler thermo means you will be running on a colder engine for longer.
