They're horrible, I wouldn't even use them as fishing sinkers. Give's the EV-14's a bad name. The Injector Dynamics 1000's I use don't even have holes/director plate like those....the head of the ID1000 is a work of art.

The drilled stock injectors I have seen have all been drilled extremely well and it shows in the tuning....those ev-14's look like rubbish.

How much are the ID 1000's toads?

Apologies if you have posted before, but what is required to fit them to a BF or FG fuel rail?

cna I ask a dumb question, now, can you fit larger injectors without a remap ? I mean , will they just flow as stock items and only supply more fuel when remapped to suit a tune ? just a thought as I fitted 550 pink sti injectors to a wrx after a rebuild and no remap... your thoughts for the ford ?

To the supplier's credit, he has now agreed to take back these drilled 60lb EV14 injectors and swap them for undrilled 52's.

I'm not concerned with outright power, but still want decent idle performance.

Has anyone in Sydney tuned these Bosch EV14's yet?

ID's are about $800 delivered when I bought them and given the exchange rate of late......farken buy some lol. BF rail just needs the hats (FG is probably a direct fit?) and EV1 to USCAR adaptor....piece of cake. The 52lb's will be piece of pi$$ to tune...the calibration summary for them is available on the Ford Racing Part website. The data needs to be converted to 4 bar (or start with the 60.13psi) and then further tickled a bit for the aussie PCM but the supplied data is a good start. Any good tuner should be able to tune with them no worries, it's not rocket science.

Rab....totally not recommended. Although the import guys do it when they're using ethanol and the like...they just select an injector that's ~30% more flow than stock.

Flow matching is normally done not by modyfing an injector but by selecting injectors of equal flow rates and grouping them together,

ie

supplier gets 100 injectors and flow tests them all, the injectors that flow 60 lb are grouped together, injectors that flow 59 lbs are grouped together, injectors that flow 61 lbs are grouped together and so on.

Although drilling injectors is frowned upon by manufacturers, people are getting desired results by doing it, although it normally affects spray pattern

0 280 158 117 comes up as a bosch 52 lb injector so maybe somebody has drilled them to get 60 lb flow

Where did you find (confirm) that the 0 280 158 117 part number is a Factory Bosch 52lb injector?

Fiveomotorsport list them as a 47lb.

EV14 - Fuel Injectors MOD Sets - Siemens Injectors & Lucas Injectors - Racing Fuel Injector Sets - 0280158117/G302

This website below has them at 52lb and look very similar, and I am trying to get technical info from them to help with tuning.

High Performance New Fuel Injectors - New Bosch - 52lb Bosch EV14 High Impedance - Fuel Injector Connection

Also these ones below are 47lb from Ford Racing. Lots of tech data on them but they appear slightly different?

Does anyone know where I can get this sort of data on the 0 280 158 117?

The PDF file data sheet from Bosch does not have the part number listed.

Thanks.

Just had a thought, re listing them as 47lb or 52lb flow, it would obviously depend on the pressure that the flow rate was measured at.

I.e. at lower pressure, they would flow 47lb/hr and at higher pressure they would flow 52lb/hr.

Just hoping that the 52lb injectors I receive are not a 6 hole 47lb injectors with one drill enlarged hole instead of 2 or 3 as in my previous pics.

I did a quick google search on the bosch part number you listed as I did not have my bosch data with me at the time.

Most injectors are tested at 3 bar but not all, it would not be uncommon for a reseller to test them at a higher pressure and sell them at higher figures, best bet is to look at the manufacturers info and what test pressure and another thing is they are not flow tested with petrol but a special test fluid which is consistant called N-Heptane

52lb/h Bosch GT500 with EV6 / USCAR Connector [0280158117] - $53.99 : Muscle Motors - Bosch Distributor!, Got Muscle?

http://www.boschdealer.com/specsheets/0280158117cs.jpg

This is the calibration summary for the 0 280 158 117 apparently, however it is actually the calibration summary for the Ford Racing M-9593-G302. http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/ics/m-9593-g302.pdf Im not sure the exact bosch part number for the M-9593-G302 however if you look here EGO states the 0 280 158 117 is the M-9593-G302 http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69522. He probably bought them from FRP and got the number off them?

Most injectors are rated at 3 bar (43psi) as ratter said but FPR state it @ 39.15.

Providing they are an unmodified EV14 injector they will be easy to tune :-)
