The R-Spec is Just a Typhoon with the above mentioned changes (not many). Don't buy one just cause it's an R-Spec.

Oh and Steve I'm pretty sure the Cobras were R-Spec as well weren't they? Oh and they held there value well spit.gif

So the FG F6 replaces the R-Spec in a way does it? Or does it only replace the BF II F6 Typhoon and not the Typhoon R-Spec.

Why would the value hold better though? Cars depreciate the most in their first 2 years on the market. I would though, as an investment, the rarer the model, the less the depreciation.

The FG F6 is just this years model. With upgraded bits and bobs, but a very nice bit of gear never the less. (if you can afford it). It will depreciate just like all other cars.

The R-Spec is the F6 Typhoon, they just added a few extra bits and pieces, and they only made 300 of them, this is what makes them a little rarer and thus they hold value a little better.

Everything comes down to budget. Best of luck with the decision. You will love either one you choose.

I think after driving both, the suspension in the R-Spec was insanely overrated. Better than FPV F6 suspension, marginally yes.

Either car, I'd swap over to something better all round for a lot less money that would last longer, too!

As said above.. if you come across the "right car" and it happens to be an R-Spec, not probs... but in no way is it the only option worth considering to discount normal F6s or FGs...

knew when Ford called it an R-Spec people would get the wrong idea from what this model actually signifies. :S

I think I have seen that one too it has 18 inch rims and after market rear lights.

if it has chrome BBS style rims then yeah its the same car.. the GT badge looked like it was put on by a kid,, looked soo out of place above the r-spec one

Rspec has, mats, a badge, optional trim as standard and slightly improved suspension. You will find most Rspec's were sold at a very reasonable price as they were the end of the BF's....Personaly I would look at all BF11 F6's and pick the one that offered the best deal..km's vs $$$. If that turns out to be an Rspec then so be it..
