got a pair of 235/40/R17 tyres, and im looking at a pair of 235/45

putting the 45's on the front, and the 40's on the rear ... helping to set the car up for less understeer and a tad more oversteer.

is the speedo worked out on gearbox output or something?

basically, I know my speedo may be out (pending on where its measured from)... not as issue, as a hardcore street racer im immune to speed cameras.

just want to know if it will throw up any error codes due to the staggered sidewall profiles?

road speed is derived from the abs sensors. Your looking at aprox 12% difference in rolling Diameter. You may get away with this.

Only one way to find out.............

Your traction control/stability control will probably have a fit and turn itself off...if you haven't already done so yourself.

Yeah, ABS sensors will chuck a tanty - they did when I had 45's on the back and 40's on the front....

Put a bigger swaybar on the rear and fit your standard bar on the front Tocchi, should increase turn in

Too much bar will only increase understeer.. be brave and let a little roll-oversteer help you corner.. does wonders for turn-in if you have the nuts and car control to handle it. :outahere:

yeh, it will be off, and the airbag light flashes anyways, due to the fixed backs, so whats more lights on the dash :P

Seemed to brake fine, never got in to a position to lock it up while it was doing it so I'm not sure. No abnormal operation though, didn't phase me, but that might have changed if I need to jump on the anchors on the highway :buttrock:

hmmm maybe ill just get another pair of 235/40s I guess and remember that my speedo is out for when im driving between stages. lol

tad longer wait as they wont be in stock, but for peace of mind, its probably worth it :)
