Don't save mate... Invest in a house. Sell in 2015 and pay with profit you made and extra cash you have from negative gearing!

Had investment house for 1 year. Up $110000 and used for about $6000 cash back on tax... :-)

lol @ Dilly "your opinion is wrong, mine is correct"

The later the model/manufacture the better it is. Ford have continually revised things on the BA/BF/FG even through the models, so just buy the latest vehicle you can afford.

However if you're worried about "street cred" (whatever that is) then listen to Dillz (the one with a FG G6ET as his avatar)

Dude I know your job is to stir me up and take the piss but think about it, I am right.

The FG's are the sh*t! We all know that But... The B series are the pioneers. Remember the cruises, the first time threads, the debates. We mustn't forget where we came from.

I was that close to buying a VX SS but I didn't and It changed my life...

I see what you're getting at, but wouldn't a model-T have the most cred? We mustn't forget that's where it all started.

At the end of the day I purchase a vehicle that has features and performance that I want, who really cares about whether it was a pioneer or not?

LMFAO!!! No offence Zap but seriously LMFAO!!!!

Oh now whos on the band wagon? lol. But your right.

As far as "tuff" goes a slammed 350+ BA/F, XRT/F6 on 20's is the bench mark and the rest are living up to this. Period.

Well I definitely vote the exterior looks of the BA series the best - but then again maybe I'm sentimental

Also, to be honest - I aint a fat arse just yet (but on the way possibly :omg: ) - but I reckon there is more room inside the BAs (and the BFs for that matter). I just felt the FG a little too cossetting (hired a NA FG whilst in Sydney once)

And I like the non-luxury pack HVAC controls on the BA - really easy to find and control things - could almost do it by feel - whereas I reckon you have to have a good gander before you would know what to do when there are so many like buttons for the FG HVAC controls :roflmbo: That's why the Saab's never appealled to me - like a slab of Cadbury's chocolate those HVAC buttons in the Saab :roflmbo:

exactly tab. dillz, the guy asked what the best model is and that included the fg. we have come from ba-f to fg and can give a factual opinion on the change. take sentimental feelings out of it and the fg comes up trumps in every way. I wouldnt steer a guy towards an earlier model just because its my favourite.
