I got a BA and am looking to upgrade. I always been told BF are built really well. But what is the best model to get? BF? BF MKII? FG?

I'd vote for anything after the magical 06/06 date.

FG vs BF...turbo in the FG spools faster but runs out of puff earlier than the B series.

I hear FG interior build quality is far better than B series.

Get an FPV BFII :)

fg xr6t's are alright but the turbo's are only good for about 300rwkw but mind you that 300rwkw is fast. A Bf seems like a all roudner but fg for a newer luxury car.

The B series were the pioneers the FG's are just riding a good thing.

It's like a movie, rarely is the sequel better then the original.

I just came from a 300+rwkw ba to my now stock 08fg and it absolutely pisses all over it in every way. mate has a bf typhoon with just a tune and it feels like a slug off the mark compared to mine and cant catch me. im a fan of the smaller turbo for the street, it also is made with better material to prevent cracking. is also easily upgraded to f6 spec if you want more power but lag will be present. stock they have zero and I mean zero lag and there have been a few cars making 320+ with them. im really looking forward to taking this turbo to its limit.

fg has better plenum, much better flowing head. I hear the zf is tougher than the bf. better handling. way better interior with more gadgets.

as for looks, put a stock b series next to a stock fg.b series looks dated. put a lowered b series with big dish etc next to an fg with the same. fg is much tougher looking. if I were you mate and you have the extra cash, get the fg. dont go from a b series to a b series. waste of time. not taking anything away from the b series, just calling it how it is.

No offence but your wrong mate. Don't get me wrong the Fg's are awesome and may be superior in every way, but they will never be as tuff or have the respect/street cred of a BA/BF. And that's just the way it is.

I guess it's true you'd not really want to stay in the same series.

Best tip and my loose plan is to save save save and get the last I6 turbo FPV around 2015!

Mind you I'm keeping my BFII as well :)
