Hi guys, basically my old man wants to upgrade the brakes on his ba fairlane and will need to get larger wheels so theyl fit. I said that he can have the 19s of my fg ute so that I can get new wheels. My question is, has anyone noticed that the rear wheel arches on the fg ute protrude at least two inches wider than the wheels, kinda like an xa-c coupe, and has anyone fit wider rear wheels. should I get dished rims or use spacers, any suggested brands etc, look foward to hearing from you.

I have 10.5" rears with a +35 offset with a 275 tyre. Looking at going bigger when new rubber is due. As for wheel track legally you are only allowed to lower the offset on each wheel by 12mm with a total track change of 24mm. So from a stock offset of +35 you can get to +23 to bring the wheels out of the guard. Also worth noting the extra stresses put on your wheel bearings when changing track.

Heres mine
