Night boys... Will be interested to see what *Beep* is thinking... If he now realises how hard it is to peddle a 10 when you are right on the borderline power wise...

Would have been good if he had have at least cracked an 11... It was very dewy...

I think to put down a great pass you needed to be at least running a high profile MT... Everyone else was slipping around a bit...

12.7 is a great time with the power bozz... Will eat street commos for breaky...

Shanan's time is f*cking amazing considering it was full weight AND it was only about the 4th or 5th run in the car... :spoton:

Was good to catch up again... Even if I struggled to get out of the f*cking car park!!! LOL don't they realise most blokes who go to drags have dumped cars!!! Except for you Danny!!! The TT wouldn't have minded the big pot holes!!!

so got there late due to traffic everywhere, lined up after been checked out. Hooked up shift light but had no time ot calibrate it so meh to that for now.

1st run, like a goose I had TC on. No burnout, no decent launch. 12.06 @ 126.27mph with 2.396 60" (lawl)

2nd run, reemed the burnout didnt bother to redo it, tried launching on 20psi semi slicks with 6psi boost. Car slid everywhere. No wall was hit, jumped back on it 12.83 @ 124mph and a 2.186 60"

Had a few talks to shannon (congrats on the 10.4 :D) and dion.

So 3rd run put tyres down to bout 15psi and done a handbreak launch + hard on brake. The burnout I done off the line was bigger then the initial burnout....lawl. 12.55 @ 122mph.

I pu the tyres to 14psi, and tried launching of 4psi and I actually finally learnt how to do a proper big burnout without hitting walls and easing off/on the brake. Just leave it in D and go for it is better then smashing through gears I think! Done a big ass burnout warm up (finally I actually got smoke from a burnout). I took off a bit better but didnt put the hand break all the way down on the launch and the stupid thing was beeping at me. My final run was an 11.7 @ 126.3mph with a 2.1 60".

So all in all, nerves obviosuly kicked in everywhere and I am slowly learing whats needed for that decent 1.6 60" launch. 1st thing, I need MT's. The Nittos nt05's arent good enough with this profile and even with a burnout. Have to go the MT et streets. So will prob source a pair if I can find em for 500$ in good condition on some rims. Car had no problems, went on HWY for a bit later and no issues so all good for a trip to heathcoat next time without the big ass spectators.

To all the haters, blow me, my MPH is good for a 10sec pass. Might have to be cool and let someone else drive it haha. According to the top 25 list of BA/BFs, headsex, with your 10.90 run @ 126.94 with a what 1.6 60"? I think im in with a shot once I get the ETs out with a decent 60". Need to practice my handbrake launches!!! :P

And for people who dont know, I have a full weight with STREET semi slicks, BA with a built 4spd on a 3500rpm histall showing 350rwkw on dyno-mite dyno.

11.7 @ 126.3 final result. 4 runs, 1st time ever, and all the pressure. Not a bad learning curve so far.

And I know I didnt run a 10 yet, but even if I ran 140mph, and I ran 11.10, you hero's would still have a cry about 'no 10's'.

Also, SPOTTED: EVERYONE! lawl

also im hitting 6000rpm in 3rd and I cant go into 4th or ill fry kev band again. Seems to be loosing power last 50-80meters. Need to go back and check tune. Might be my exhaust issue coming to hant me. I just roll on the same speed/rpm that last 50-80meters which is gay. Donno what problem is yet.

Agreed...

To get it down to 11.7 is fair on those tyres and with the dewy conditions...

If you can crack a 1.7 60 foot you should see a 10... By drag "unofficial rules"... Drop .1 in your 60 foot, means you drop .2 off your ET...

Take .4 off your 60 foot and you'll see .8 off your ET and a high 10...

Definitely need MTs or full drag slicks... You were nervous which can be expected... It's human nature... Unless it's your daily job you are going to be... And even then you probably still would be...

Heathcote will be better for more runs...

I would try get some 16 inch rims and widen them... Then get 16 in MTs... They have more flex in the sidewall and hence more chance of grip... Then you can load it up and not use the handbrake, plus give full throttle to get your 60' down...

You did well for all the pressure you were under... Many people were there cause you had talked up a 10 in many forums...

My advice... You have the car that can run a 10... Drive it more... Get to know it... Eventually it will come... It may be next year... But it will come if you keep refining and retrying... Even if it does cost $120 a time (entry plus petrol etc)
