Bit off topic but last night I was lookin at a purple vl calais turbo on 20 inch street tyres run consistent 11's.

11.99 I saw and 11.88 @ 119mph. The skinniest profile on a 20 inch rim too. Good on him whoever he is

somehow tony I think there is no need to say good on him because I doubt he looks on Ford forums

Suspension has a lot to do with getting good times, a lot of people think you just need power to get the numbers.

Street suspension is not ideal on the strip and strip suspension is not good on the street, you have to decide what you want from the car or change according to what you are doing.

Congrats on the time *Beep*. You're the 180,000'th person to do it. This thread and the time you ran is something that would have been interesting in 2004! :beerchug:

P.S. Well done to Shananp that's a top effort

No offense but a 10 year old could run that MPH... As long as they can steer straight and put their foot on the throttle...

Lol at comments for the haters...

End of the day, you said you were going to do something an ya didnt do it...

Obviously based on trap speed, the car may be capable of a 10, but hopefully you now realise that a 10 isnt a walk in the park!

Unfortunately, you have put yourself in a position where you have to take it on the chin, until you run a 10.

Hopefully, its next time out with the MT's.

Good effort trying though, at least it sounds like ya had some fun which is the main thing!

Hats off to *Beep*. Well done mate, from what your saying it sounds like it has a ten in it you've just gotta sort out the bugs.

And for the haters, f*ck at least he's having a go. How else do you learn?
