Thinking about taking the spoiler off my car... I just wanna see if I like it before making the big change...

What do I block the holes up with to make it look reasonable still???

What have people used and where did they get it from?

Thanks... :spoton:

I recently removed my spoiler but I decided to skip welding up the holes as its a pretty difficult and fiddley task to do. Its pretty hard to get under to cover the welds to prevent rust and without causing weld damage as the boot metal is relatively thin. I work at an panel shop so I was able to pick up a BA XT boot for my BA XR6T exactly the same size minus the spoiler holes so a nice flat (factory) finish. Unfortunately for me XTs dont come in phantom so that needed painting not too expensive for me so its worked really well. Ive seen some weld up jobs, some good some bad, getting the 2nd hand boot lid just seemed the easiest and neatest option to me.

IMO keep the spoiler on unless your going to get another bootlid with no holes or you get yours welded closed then painted.

It looks so cheap and dodgy when people take their spoilers off and theres tape and holes everywhere.

Also a roadworthy problem having no high mount brake light. Possibly more chance of being rear ended.

Can look really tough though!
