Maitland Posted 28/06/10 12:03 AM Share Posted 28/06/10 12:03 AM Is it just one relay in the box where all the other relays are NYTSKY? I too would like to fit some LED blinkers but don't want to massacre the harnesses.

Depending on the amount of LEDs in the actual globe will determine the resistance value.Point 2. The resistance in the globe to make it work with the correct voltage does nothing for the flasher box. The flasher box timing is determined by the load across it ie current being used by all 4 globes independent of the voltage as it will always be 12v. As LEDs use far less current the load on the flasher box is much less, therefore it "sees" a globe out so will flash faster. There are 2 ways to fix it, 1. Buy an electronic flasher box designed for LED's,2. Use load resistors on the loom. - Not recommended as the load is quite high and transformed into heat. That's why your globes can get quite hot. LEDs don't. Some load resistors may not work as they have to be pretty accurate in value. The easiest by far is just buy an electronic flasher box for the LEDs. Easy as pie. When I turn the indicators on the ticking noise seems to come out from behind the dash, but when I look up from underneath I can't see anything that looks like a relay.
