A car built that early may well have been a saleable pre-production unit - ie: got flogged around in the ford fleet for 6 months, or was a press car (with obvious consequences), or a myriad of other things that you don't need or want to know about. They all eventually head off to Fowles or similar and make their way through the market. I tend to look out for certain number plates when cheap cars get highlighted, but VINs are more accurate in terms of determining whats what, and seem to be the only options in terms of the OP. Most are ex fleet or ex police cars.Why would anyone pay over 35k for a 2008 or even 2009 model these days.
