I have the "NEW" PWR cooler thanks to Mick @ Pit Lane!!!

no mods no cutting 100% direct fit

fit straight up to Herrods pipe kit

again no mods or cutting needed

dunno about the max power rating and sure its not going to be as good as a cooler that you have to butcher your car to fit, but my FG G6E with the PWR cooler Herrod pipes injectors and high flow cat make a decent 311rwkw on the mainline dyno at Pit Lane

Yes that combo fits provided you have the OEM airbox - not the V8 version. Mick has confirmed this with me. He is of the opinion that the herrod kit will bolt up after some 'tweaking'. I'm looking to PWR to overcome this. I'll pay the extra for the PWR pipe kit if it bolts up with no 'tweaking'. You must be running the original airbox.

Did you have the cooler polished or is that the way it comes? The whole package is really good and I think that's the way I'll be going. cheers, Bomber.

Looks good to me.

It says no trimming required but is that with factory plumbing only?

Does the PWR plumbing kit require any cutting?

The PWR cooler mounted in with not a single modification required and the Herrod pipe kit fitted with no modifications at all. I'll assume the PWR pipe kit requires no modifications to the car to make it fit. The herrod pipe kit is considerably cheaper and appears to do the job

The only drama we had with this combination was the V8 air box opening would hit the pipe work as it is larger than the stock item, now I believe we could have adjusted things to make it fit, but the AndrewD wanted to make sure it all bolted in without modifying things to fit and I think he was actually looking for an excuse to use a Bluepower air box, we we ended fitting for him.

Some customers don't mind cutting up their car for their mods, others want the option of returning the car back to stock with no tell tale signs, we attempt to deliver what our customer want and I think we have succeeded on that part

Mick how well do you reckon the PWR cooler performed. The reason I ask is my car felt a bit flat this week with the hotter weather until I got some cool air last night - all smiles. All I really want to do is improve the air temps to give better hot weather performance.

unfortunately with our cars, no matter how good your cooler is, it will perform like a slug in the hot/humid weather, doubt its even good to give it a flog in hot weather

even my nizpro cooler doesn't do sh*t

I pulled 112x mph with 37.5ambient temps on the 4th run could have run better but launched poorly and copped wheelspin and short shifted, this was the 4th run in a row no shutting off ac on all the time.... Preformed better than expected IMHO.

What was the outside temperature on those runs? humidy rate?

The last couple of days in Melbourne, have been damn hot, all I can say is that the car does not like it, very sluggish.

Obviously an upgrade will be better than the standard cooler, but you wouldn't be anywhere near the cars peak on a cool day/night.

and then try again when its cooler, im sure you will do better again!

I think it performed quite well for a direct fit cooler, well enough that one will be going on the wifes G6ET for some testing, it's hard to test accurately on customers cars and keep level playing fields, I'm getting one made with a couple of map sensor ports to check pressure drop across the cooler and temps across a run, will try to do this at different psi as time permits.

I believe it did not cool as well as the Nizpro fg cooler we fitted on KV's car but the cars had different set ups also so it was not a accurate comparison. Will be getting the ProcessWest stage 3 FG cooler as soon as they are ready to go on to a F6 so will try to evaluate that if time permits, although the turbo is different, it might give some info.
