Just recently ive been having a probem with the 6-speed manual gearbox/clutch. The only way I can get it to go into reverse is to sit there an jam it into gear? And when it finally goes into gear I can hear gears being crunched! Does anyone know why it would be doing this??

Left foot clutch, right foot brake... And put into reverse)

Mine blew a fuse once when towing a trailer which took out my reverse lights and aircon. While the fuse was blown it made it hard to select reverse for some reason. Think it was to do with it not knowing if I was stopped or not.You gotta remember the R gate is blocked when you are moving at 3+kph approx so if you dont stop properly it may resist. Its just the reverse that's being a pain. Not having any problems at all with the electrical systemI know what your saying but Im talking about putting the car into reverse whilst stationary! And Im sure the clutch isnt stuffed because the other gears are perfect.

Seems like a silly question, but I find it makes selecting reverse easier.Mark

Strangely I think that selecting first and then reverse helps a bit but Im still not happy. I never used to have this problem. The cars only just hit 16000kms. As far as Im concerned its a new car and it should run like a new car. Ill be taking it to ford on wedneday
