hey guys just a couple of questions

when it comes time to do some things to my ute I want to go with the process west battery relocation and the pod with the cover over it

but for the cooler I would really like to have one that fills the whole hole in the bottom of the front bar, as in so you can see minimal/no end tanks

I was thinking of something similar to a hdi one but perhaps a little taller

is there any kit out there that would suit this?

can I buy a cooler that isnt necessarily made for an xr6t but would fit behind the front bar?

is it hard to do your own piping?

it doesnt seem hard just take the shortest path with the smoothest bends and dont have it rubbing on the body everywhere

seems easy in principal lol

thanks guys

mitch

This is Rapids Biggest Cooler with PLazmaman End tanks, Had to cut the Beep out of sh*t everywhere to make it fit. Hits the airbag bar at top, stonetray at bottom, and had to trim left and right sides of the reo bar.

You might be able to squueze a slightly wider cooler in if u go like a 76mm cooler, and push it forwards and trim more reo bar.

You can not fill the entire lower section due to the location of the chassis rails and reo bar. I think a 600 core is as wide as you can go with decent end tanks without the need to hack up the front of your car.

In this case, biggest isnt always best...

Sure, you can go with a Process West stage 3 Monster cooler, the new Plazmaman 1800hp cooler or Nizpro big cooler, but its most likely going to be overkill unless your chasing big power and have the money (read, lots of it!!) and supporting mods to go with it...

People have tried fitting various coolers to these vehicles and it seems easiest to go with an off the shelf item.

There is not a lot of room to play with and lost of people are very happy with off the shelf kits made by various manufacturers specifically for our vehicles.

Go for your life experimenting... but for ease, efficiency and proven results, stick to the well known kits that many of us have fitted!

Cutting sh*t up Is a pain in The arse!!! Go for a straight fit with minimal changes if you can...

My two cents!!!

Yea cutting is no fun, and doesnt feel right.

But that's the only way to fit a decent cooler (Except nizpro, and there long ass piping if u dont have there plenum.)

Below is my new stage 2. This is the largest non-metal cutting BA/BF intercooler on the market. It will also be apart of my soon to be released S2.1 to S2.5 packages.
