track and Ford ute doesnt go hand in hand.

I prefer driving my XR8 (sedan) harder than the FG F6 (ute), handling is a lot tighter. if that makes sense

go the xr6t. insurance is less etc.

saying that, a F6 ute is pretty fun to drive, and is fast,

just stock they suck due to torque tags :(

Buy a standard xr6t and buy a house. I did, f6 is a show pony, if you got the cash all is well and good but I mean like they said, your paying for cosmetics. Sure the f6 has a few better things but if your going to throw cash at it down the track those things wont matter. Buy a xr6t buy and house and live the good life.

thanks for all the comments, I'm still set on a F6! I love them! As for a house that will be in afew years once I save some more then sell my car to throw money towards one. Just car insurance are going to cover me even though I am still on my green P's so I'm looking at buying one anytime soon. Insurance is the same amount for a 07 BF F6, any XR6T, FG F6, WRX and STI. so theres no trade offs there.

I'm going to look at this F6 tomorrow hopefully, mainly done highway K's but is there anything else out there that I should be looking at that guru's might know?

Just make sure "Just Car" will actually pay up should anything happen. Most companies will take your money for insurance but then dent the claim if it arises. Its the same for speeding fines and the like. Most companies wont ask you about them when you take out a policy (some do) but come claim time its a reason they can knock you back.

Just make sure you can drive the thing first legally and without any hassles hanging over you. Or just wait till xmas when your on your opens and go the F6 with the extra coin that would have been saved. If I had the extra money and wasn't so impatient to get an FG, I would have waited and gone an F6.

Realistically aside from Brembo's and bigger turbo, what other performance items does the FG have over the XRT?

F6*

Tune and air intake? Injectors? What are the valve springs like in the FG range from XR6T to F6?
