I have xenon lights in low and hi beams, and am thinking about putting another set in the fog lights. :o I live in the hills and do alot of driving through the forest etc.

I'd like to hook them up to my normal high beam switch. will the circuit take it or should I leave it on the fog light switch (not too convenient though).

cheers

scott

I assume the foglights would be powered by a relay tapped off the parking light circuit...so if you could just swap that over to the high beam circuit you'd be laughing. Assume the relays are in the engine bay fusebox so shouldn't be too much trouble.

Get a H3 or an even smaller H3C kit and start from there. Might have to lengthen the cables if want to put the ballasts in the engine bay or find a safe spot in the front bar somewhere.

Hi. H3 and H3c kits will be the same, the biggest problem is holding the lamp into the reflector as the clip that goes over the back of the normal H3 globe wont fit over a HID globe, What you need to do is drill two small holes in the lip around the edge of the globe holder on the reflector and hold the new globe in with 2 self tappers. is this for the xr6 foggies?

yeah it will fit. did it myself.. had them on the xr6 lights. The inside protective cover to reflect the light just needs to be pushed in a little..

then you will need a rubber washer to elevate the globe out of the fog light housing. then all I used was a paper clip to and welded it to the original bezels and twisted it around the head of the globe.

now I have them in my f6 lights as I have changed my bar. had to drill the globe cover but used the original grommet you get with the hid kits to seal the whole. turned out awesome! :)

its a lot of work but take your time and youll figure it out :)
