Mate I have standard rotors on my Fg with Ferodo 2500 Pads in the front with AP fluid, standard pads in the rear.. mate the thing does not stop braking its faultless and I work them very hard... Maybe give that a go as a cheaper then Brembo alternative.

My brembos were cooking and got me out of some hairy situations but I doubt 100% that my little FG stockers would have handled that at all. For $2000 can't go past the 6 pots for value and stopping power. some of the speeds down the hill were a bit over the top but pulled up well.

I thought the 2500's were only for brembos unless it was custom made? I have the Ferodo DS performance on the front and they performed very well. Nick let us know on the CB his brakes were gone so I overtook and went for more, then we hear him saying he could smell my brakes from 100-200m back. Its hard work pulling up a 1900kg Falcon with 300+ rwkw corner after corner.

Riki I was looking at your rims/brakes at albion park, the argents + 6 potters look awesome. I thought you couldn't fit 245/35/20 on the front? Or does the FG allow for the larger 35 profile?

I have had no issues at all, no scrubbing or anything but it must be so close as I tried a 255 and wasn't going to happen at all. my gearbox got a workout up and down that mountain

Smicky (F6auto with brembos and ceramic pads), Martin(seducefastas)manual with stock FG brakes,.... myself and Ian(WLD460),both manuals with the FPV PBR premium brake with ultimate pads deal, all came back down the pass at a decent clip..... :3gears:

Smicky had no problems (as you'd expect), Martin said his were just starting to go away towards the bottom (still has stock fluid) but it was still fast enough to make his passenger throwup.... :spoton:

Ian and myself didnt have any problems either, but we both use our gearboxes to pull a lot of speed out of the car before we think about standing on the brakes.....

Oh my bad my pads are the DS Performance not 2500s I stand corrected.. Even so they never showed signes of fade. though I also make use of the gearbox to wipe off some speed.. I would love bigger brakes but where does it stop with these things..
