Was going to do it shadow chrome to be different and dust would not show up as much, but you can't go past piano black for that classy look. Jet black paint with 3 coats of clear on top for that extra gloss. Spent 5 hours hand polishing them up, making sure its all swirl/scratch free. Hopefully I get the time to install it tomorrow, I'm dying to see if all the hard work has paid off or not

how much did that cost to get done?? Im having a go at doing mine currently, some of the pieces turned out ok, some not but I'll probably end up getting a painter to spray it in the end if I cant get it good enough

ok so once I pull ICC out stand it up right just like if it was still in my dash correct?? Can car be driven while ICC unit is out?????

I had no idea how many parts actually came off the ICC unit. Crazy. I cant decide if I should paint the actual air vent slider things or just the surrround.

Pretty sure the car wont move without it, unless you put the unit back in with no buttons on the front but I duno if that'll work either

Can anyone else back that up as well??? I would only need it like that for 2days max even without the buttons it would be all good. I highly doubt it the techs @ local ford dealer would know..... whats the worse that can happen? limp mode?

If I take it out and put it back in will I need a security code or something??

You could try push that main unit back into the plug, and hook up those 4 plugs underneath it all, but I wouldn't even try personally.

You don't want to drop the ICC or shake it too much if you have discs inside the stacker still, and don't turn the thing upside down or anything either.

5lYBA I haven't paid for it yet, but I did all the prep and polishing once the paint was dry myself, so it should be pretty cheap for me.
