so tyfoniacrage you have put a fg f6 engine into you ba/bf?

I've actually put the 2007 BF F6 Engine into 2003 BA XR6 Turbo. Not the FG. Not everything fully completed yet either. Engine is up and roaring, but my mechanic has to do lots of tuning, because the BF had the ZF 6sp auto, while I've still got 4sp BTR. And my ECU is not swapped with BF, however he has to calibrate everything accordingly. I'll hopefully pick the car up tomorrow after it's dynoed. Then I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Just to let you guys know that I have got my car back after 2 weeks fitted with Newly rebuilt F6 Tornado engine. I can't explain the performance of this setup but can someone only experience it's power over stock standard. It's now producing 342rwkw and generating 1050NM torque!! I afraid I'll lose my factory crappy 4sp AUTO anytime with this much torque. This motor is capable of generating 1000kw. It could have generated 380rwkw with performance exhaust, but my current custom exhaust is restricting the power. look at the attached dyno report.

Hey *Beep*, you've also put the BF F6 in your BA. How do you keep up with the factory transmission. What did you do to your 4sp auto to keep the power up. you still have it, did you strengthen it, or you've switched to complete different setup? cheers

no loom or ecu was changed. I have a built 4sp auto. nothing fancy with it. just like most other 4sp rebuilds from Bayswater Autos (Victoria). Nothing special when I put the bf motor in the ba either. Was all straight forward from what I was told. Fit on my auto no worries. Feel free to call AVO 03 9584-4094 and ask them about putting a tornado motor in a BA and they will tell you everything they done to mine.
