Hi guys, the latest on this fat kid on the SCT made cupcake is my lawyer friend is looking into it for me and have suggested that complaints can also be lodged here: Fair Trading - Official complaint with the Office of Fair Trading. They can only get involved prior to any litigation starting. I've been super busy at work again so haven't chased it up, but would like to, and anybody else, please feel free to join.

They were also the ones who advised that those who bought an X1 unit in the year prior to it being shut down for the dodgy second time (who does that?) that they can easily return it to place of purchase for full refund. It's the rest who paid a while ago, and a lot more like in my case, that have to do it the hard way.

I am also sick to death of piss poor analogies, if you don't understand the concept of how we've been done in the butt here then please stay out of it or do some research, ask some learned people for a good analogy that makes what SCT have done fair, honest and equitable.

Ok, still very busy but I aim to have something in to the Fair Trading office soon. Along with the story on what's happened I'll be providing some supporting evidence from all concerned over the timeline that this dodyness has occured. This takes a bit more time prepare.

You have to send this via old school snail mail, so it is a bit more trouble, but once again, the more the merrier. To make it a bit easier, here's the address:

Office of Regulatory Services, Fair Trading

GPO Box 158

CANBERRA ACT 2601

Just a short note to tell them your situation would be good, though I'll be mentioning that thousands of end users are effected too. If others actually also chime in it certainly can't hurt.

I think it's fair to say that thanks to our online world that this sort of situation is without precedant and is very unique.

SCT's major blunder I think was re-instating the X1 after the first shut down to allow their biggest customers, tuning shops, to offload their X1 stock. I'm very glad they did that now.

Ive intentionally stayed away from both this thread.

However, what is really disappointing is each time I open this thread to read the 3 or 4 pages of updates, I scroll to the bottom and see "sct" reading away.

I think its disgraceful they can sit there and read the feedback from their consumers without having the decentcy to address them.

The lack of standing up and representing themselves comes across as an admission of guilt in my opinion.

My hat off to you ratter. You shouldnt have to be defending the Herrod or SCT name to this degree, they should be doing it on your behalf, not the other way around. :beerchug:

I sent him this...

"Buddy... Do the right thing and pull this Ad.

You know SCT have pulled the pin on the Xcal 1, don't try selling this paperweight to some poor bastard that doesn't know."

He replied...

"BUDDY, you can still have CAPA flash the Generic tunes on this and plug it up to your car and get an extra 50kw!!! Call Brody at CAPA and ask. You can't custom tune it but you can still use it as a generic flash! It'll probably sell for about a 100 bucks so not bad bang for buck yeh???? My add states to check if tuning software is still available so don't write to me insinuating that I am deceiving someone."

Considering it sold for ~300 bucks... someone is gonna be pissed! lol.

What a wanker. Whos to say a generic tune will actually give 50kw anyway. Some of these generic tunes make the cars worse.

If CAPA can load a generic tune why can't they still load a custom one?
