well since there is no software available for them whats wrong with some one producing there own. Not like SCT care anyway.

$700 paper weight thanks SCT

This is actually correct I think. SCT have now turned the software that drives the XCAL1 into abaondonware, so hacking it to work again is something someone could do, as no support is given by the manufacturer.....anybody good with software? A lot of people would be grateful....

Just traded up today to my 2nd XCAL 3 today.

Yanks ripping us off... well trading up is not how I'd describe it.

Now where's that ZF software?

What would Charlie say? Yes I violated your consumer rights by making the device you purchased from me unable to perform it's primary function, tune and re-tune your car? He's not going to publicly admit he is wrong. He knows he is but he doesn't care, it's a means to an end for SCT and we are caught in the middle of the crap. I tell ya, if they had an office in Australia..........I'd be paying them a visit....they wouldn't try this on home soil.....

....and if you were in the states then I guess this ruling would cover you for 'hacking' it now since sct turned it off

- allow computer owners to bypass the need for external security devices called dongles if the dongle no longer works and cannot be replaced.
