Cheers guys.

Just an update, went down there today to have a look under the bonnet, not really too sure exactly what I was lookin at as im not much of a mechanical person, im more electrical, lol. Anyone see anything that is out of the ordinary? seems stock to me. One owner, found that the bonnet relase was hanging when I got in the car.

Will be going down there on sat to give it a test drive. If all goes well I will get a check done on the car. Does anyone know a good joint to check the car over? Dealer is in heildelberg. I know I can get racv down there to check it out. do they do a good job?

Can't see anything out of the ordinary (except for all the hose clamps facing perfectly up). Hoses all look pretty old for a bf to. Did you check the rear tyres? And also check for clutch slip and brake shudder when you test drive it.

Oh and rims are worth nothing when your buying a car off the dealer, there an inconvenience as you wanted the stock wheels...

If bonnet is changed and alloys changed - I think it's highly likely the previous owner has had the car edited. In my opinion, you don't do those sort of "look-tough" cosmetic changes and skip the edit. But then again, may be wrong - some people just like to pose. I don't think custom tuning the car necessarily means it's been driven hard, but likely it has been revved a bit if edited (whether intentionally or unintentionally :roflmbo: ) and this may affect the life of parts.

I know its only cosmetic but it doesn't really look like it has been that well looked after. The engine bay has crap all over it. Yeah it can also be a good thing but to me it would appear that the owner didn't take much pride in keeping the thing clean.

Is it a fibre glass bonnet.

If its a steel bonnet why has it been replaced. IE prang etc.

If you look at the first pic there seems to be a colour difference between the rear quarter panel and the doors. Again has it been in a prang.

Have a look at the badges on the boot. The "FALCON" and the XR6 turbo badge should roughly be in line with the indicators. If they aren't it suggests that it may have been in a prang.

Has it got books. If so see if you can take down the owners details and call him. Look who serviced the car also and call them.

Is it on carsales/carsguide

EDIT: Just found it on car sales. The Badges are in the WRONG spot and I reckon its had a hit in the arse at some point.

Id personally keep looking.

This is where the badges should be
