ok guys it is finally time for me to go and buy my first xr6 tubo :D Only problem is I cant seem to find any out there that are in my price range, lol

So I did a bit of reading on this site and decided that a bf mkII would be the way to go, but as I want this in a manual there dont seem to be any out there. My budget would be around 25k. At the moment I dont have any planes to mod it but I plan to keep the car for a few years so I do see mods in the future, nothing majour, would be happy to get the car up to 300 rwkw and that'd be about it.

What do you guys think I should do? Would a bf still be alright for what I want? Is my budget alright for what I want? Does anyone know of any unmodded manuals that are out there for sale?

I guess if I cant find anything availible in vic I might have to start to look interstate for one

If you can find a few more thou you can buy mine :spit:

Mrs is planing a wedding and I think my ute will have to go with the budget she has in mind.

Also doesnt hurt to look interstate, as there arent to many unmolested bf2 manuals around (That ive seen anyway)

First mistake is not getting a ZF 6 speed IMHO.

I suggest driving the manual and auto before you decide.

meh id rather drive a manual to be honest, I drive an auto at the moment, yeah the zfs may be quicker and what not but I'd rather have a manual, have a bit more fun in a manual. I'm not gonna be running this thing at any drags so I dont need to shift as quick as possible

He wants a manual FFS! Mate if 300rwkw is as far as you wanna go you should be able to find a dirt cheap BA MKII well within your price range. Wait for a low kays one to pop up then jump on it.
