Hey guys n gals,

I have an FG T and I've had the iPod integration installed at the local ford dealership today. The steering wheel controls work etc, everything seems fine, except I can't see the track name on my screen (premium sound).

when I plug the cable in at first, our iPhone's (both 3GS') screen pops up the message "this device is not compatible, turn on the airplane mode" bullsh*t message, which disappears after a few seconds. But on the car's display it says "not supported". My brother had an FG XR6T too, and he had no problem with his 3G iPhone.

I contacted the dealership, who said I should do software updates on our iPhones, which we have done. I've tried my iPod Nano too, same story.

Anyone come across this or know of a fix?

Any help will be much appreciated.

yeah I thought that might be the case. on the work order (receipt) they gave me it states it 'tested ok'. I work in a dealership myself (subaru & mazda) and know that the receipt means sweet f*ck all...

Yeah had the service managered car the otehr day when the arsepec was getting some warranty work...

tried out the cable thing... got the 'not supported' thing... just told it to get f*cked and used it anyways...

phone didnt work via the cable - but was fine via the bluetooth..

songs were fine via the cable - and song names where displayed ok... so should be fine... check the cable...

hi again, just an update for those who might be interested. I've had the car back at the dealership this morning. all they did was update the module, and Bob's your uncle, all is working.

:stupid:
