Hey guys I have an 06 BF turbo (6 speed auto) Had brake shudder so I got that fixed but it makes a loud vibration at about 110 - 115 when backing off the throttle, it did it before I got the brakes done too, anyone know what it could be?

Diff or tailshaft. Mine does it too, but not too noticable. I have had every component from the gearbox back replaced and I still have vibration issues, although they have changed characteristics. Its no where near as bad but still there. I have since built a bridge.

Start with a tailshaft re-balance and go from there.

Yes I would be looking at tailshaft rebalancing...I had to take it to Ford a couple of times to get it balanced and I two have had everything replaced from the gearbox back... I have a BF II xr6t also and I still cant get rid of brake shudder even after buying a new set of dba 4000 rotors...it always comes back...

Hi,

I had shudder/vibration in my BF2T since new. Despite rotor machining, replacement, tail shaft balances & replacement, wheel balancing it finally got fixed at 60,000K's (3 years later). Steering rack was the problem, all gone since this was replaced.

If you are feeling the vibration through the steering wheel (it also effects the general car feel) get Ford to replace.
