Is it safe to run big power with no bov at all? I put a screw in the t-piece and will prob replace with a y-piece. I have replaced the plazmaman pipe with another plazmaman pipe with no hole for the BOV (just a straight pipe) after the plenum. So no BOV at all currently.

Makes a huge long flutter sound even after only been able to rev it to 3k rpm and maybe pushing 1psi though it. Dont care about sound or wank factor etc. Just wanting to know if the turbo will be safe as normal. Or shall I put the pipe with the bov back on?

Just after a couple of different opinions.

I dont get the sadness? I see posts where people claim they have never heard of issues with people running no bov, ive heard peple saying they know people who have a stuffed turbo due to no bov, I have people saying depends how much boost your running....

If I recall correctly, danny said I can just weld up the hole (so virtually same setup I have now) and its all good.

Geez...next time ill sign up with a new account and ask there.

I know the topic has never actually been fully resolved as in Yes or No but with a bit of common sense and a some basic understanding of how a turbo works you can really work out yourself if it's worth having a bov or not.

but ive learnt so much using the intramanet. :omg:

*Beep*, why dont you want a bov?

if the pipe is bigger than you had, just get a fabrication shop or your tooner to drill a hole and weld a bit of pipe on :roflmbo:
