(I'm over at FordForums though) I'm just after some advice as I'm trading up to a turbo (from an '08 FG XR6).Right now I'm looking at some '09 XR6T's in the Sydney area and I'm just wondering what to expect price wise. On carsales and dealer websites generally the cheapest with low K's seem to be near the $40-42k mark with premium sound (I don't care for the sound, just the pretty screen), I'm just wondering how much bargaining room there would realistically be? I know that Thomson Ford has a white one with premo sound, reverse camera and 15xxxkm on the clock for $39999, then Dominelli has an Ego one with 13xxxkm and just the premium sound for $42999! $3k more with less kit! I've also noticed that NSW seems to be the dearest state in terms of the turbos, there are currently demos with under 1000km for $42k drive away in QLD! So if anyone could point me in the right direction as to what price and flexibility I can expect from dealers, I'd really appreciate the help. All I'm after is an 09 XR6T in ego with the premium sound. My current FG XR6 has leather/bluetooth/ipod/ZF 6 speed but it missed out on the screen (and the hair dryer) which I always regretted (couldn't do anything about the turbo because I was a provisional driver at the time). So yeah, do you think I'd have much bargaining room with the low km '09 models? Has anyone recently bought something similar? I really didn't want to spend much over $40k on the car itself, because I'm trading the FG XR6 and I'm expecting to get raped on the trade in.Cheers! Manual + Tech Pack and got it for $36990 drive away with 70kms on the clock and it was classed as a demo. Also I'm in Brisbane and it was in Mackay, transport was $500 and it took 1 working week. So consider buying out of state, they generally will e-mail all the paperwork through for you if you go with a dealer so you just print and sign where they have crossed, scan it and e-mail it back. Add 4k to my price for the lux pack with premo sound and I guess that's about what you will pay. If NSW is too dear, definitely go interstate. The VE can really but a heap of power down compared the the XR which wants arm fulls of lock as soon as you get into the throttle . Still a good car though and does most things better.adam
